God's Peace Ministry

This spring and summer has been a blessing of outreach by supporting and encouraging overseas missionaries.

Our first missionary family was The Jarrett Family and their Ends of the Earth Ministry. What a blessing to get to know Bishop Jarrett, his wife Mary and their daughter Clara.  Please see their website as cited on ANAC:  Parishes.

Our second enabling encounter was a reunion with The Rev. Hemant Tandi of Grace and  Peace Ministry to Orissa.  Bishop Doyle and Rev Carolyn met Rev. Tandi in the jungles of India, fourteen years ago.  At that time we went with him to remote villages to preach the gospel and minister to a leper colony.  The Rev. Tandi has continued that work and now has a hospital, a home  for thirty-five lepers, and an orphanage. In addition, Rev. Tandi has 40 pastors that look to him for monetary and spiritual help. Rev. Tandi is married and has two girls of his own.  It was our privilege to host him and put him in touch with other resources.

Our third gift of presence was to meet and again put into contact with other ministries, a couple, Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Amber Vincent who are heading to France as missionaries.  They will be working there as well as providing evangelism work and Bible study.  What a joy these two young people are to know.  They are both committed Christians, highly gifted, especially in music, and plan to make the mission field their life’s work.

Bishop Doyle and Rev. Carolyn continue to go to the prison to preach in Waterproof LA to illegal immigrants, do supply preaching, and hold a weekly home prayer meeting.  We have also been asked to work in a women's prison of five hundred inmates in Louisiana and are waiting our assigned dates.  Bishop Doyle has an extensive phone ministry of counseling and encouragement, particularly to pastors and full time Christian workers.

Rev. Carolyn is also busy with her writing and has just completed the first edition of  A Gospel for the Deaf, a forty page booklet being published in the Ukraine by the Ends of the Earth Ministry.  A second work is headed for Cameroon, a French speaking country, but ASL is used in the Schools for the Deaf associated with Bishop Jarrett.  Both of these booklets are tools to be used with the Jarrett’s Ends of the Earth Ministry.  Carolyn is planning to have an American edition  published in January.  A sequel to Lord of Flemen is to be published during the first half of next year, entitled Healings.
The Lord has assigned us to open our home to those who are in ministry that they may be refreshed.  We take this seriously and continue to do so, on an individual and group basis.
