Bishop Deodatus Mwamba

The enthronement of Bishop Mwamba which was attended by 800 congregants who included government officials and members of other church families was a mountaintop experience. Several choirs sang uplifting songs in Swahili, Lingala and French. Our loving Father Mwamba was enthroned in a joyful celebration!

Bishop Deodatus and Sarah Barwan Mwamba are serving God together as a Missionary couple worshiping with All Nations Anglican Church. Currently they are based in Kinshasa, Congo DRC and reach out to Africans in French speaking Countries.

Bishop Mwamba is preaching the Good News in the Congo under very hard traveling conditions. He is also reaching out to the Pygmies and is well received. All Nations Anglican Church is committed to supporting Bishop Mwamba." - Archbishop John Githiga

Testimony of Deodatus Mwamba

From the time we first believed, God impressed on us the need to reach out and share the Good News in the Congo. Fortunately, I attended a New Life Training by Life Ministry/Campus Crusade for Christ International (Discipleship, Evangelism, leadership and Trainers training) in June 1998.  And from October 1998 to June 2000 we planted a church in Eldoret, Kenya under the leadership of the African Inland Church. It has now grown from 35 to 200 church members.”

In the midst of the year 2000, the Mwamba’s joined ‘Youth With A Mission’ in Mombasa, Kenya.  They did a Discipleship Training School and established a YWAM Frontier Mission School. From July 2001 they have served God as a Missionary couple in Mombasa in partnership with Campus Crusade – Coast of Kenya Mombasa Office.

In January of 2002 they did a ‘Walk thru the Bible’ training seminar course in Kampala, Uganda and later became World Teachers after completing their three seminars. In June 2002 Deo was appointed as a ‘World Teach Equipper’ for Francophone Africa based in Kenya and he went to Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of Congo) and Yaounde Cameroon to teach and train ‘World Teachers’ in both countries.
From January 2003, he moved with his family to Kitale. He is presently coordinating ICM Training seminars in Francophone Africa from Kitale. His Wife Sarah is a Women Ministry Coordinator & Sunday School Teacher. In June 2004, Deo and his family moved to Kinshasa, DRC to work as missionaries in Francophone. At the same time, together with his wife Sarah, they started the Compassion Outreach Mission with the purpose of reaching the unreached people groups and with the hope of assisting the vulnerable, Traumatized Ladies, orphans and street children.

Today Bishop Deo has the inner heart and desire to work with All Nations Anglican Church planting churches, building leaders and sharing the good news of our Lord Jesus in the Congo. Pray for the Mwamba family as they are continuing to work in the Lord's Grace.
